Dogs in Halloween costumes.

Home Run Dog Park is hosting its 2nd Annual Howl-O-Ween Pawty event at the end of this month.

The Howl-O-Ween Pawty will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Home Run Dog Park inside Bailey Park in Battle Creek. The event is open to all ages and all breeds of dogs free of charge.

The fundraising event will include a costume contest with a variety of categories. They will also be selling merchandise to help support the dog park.

Event coordinator and chairman of Home Run Dog Park Michael Delaware said the event is hoping to bring in $1,000.

“The funds are used for maintenance and upkeep of the Home Run Dog Park,” Delaware said. “This year in 2021, we have provided approximately 15,000 dog waste bags in the dispensers at the dog park.”

The Battle Creek Police K-9 Unit will hold a demonstration sponsored by Honor Credit Union. There will also be pet portraits available from Redbow Photography.
