Scare up some Halloween fun at FireKeepers Casino Hotel this October by signing up for the Halloween costume contest.

FireKeepers Casino Hotel is hosting its annual Halloween Costume Contest and Parade starting at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, in the Event Center at 11177 East Michigan Ave. in Battle Creek. The event is free and open to members of the public age 21 and up.

Except for 2020, this event has been held every year since the casino opened in 2009. Participants in the parade and costume contest have a chance to win up to $10,000 worth of prizes.

Public Relations Manager Amber Ballard says the contests brings in over 200 guests each year.

“A large part of the FireKeepers brand is fun,” Ballard said. “That’s what we try to provide every day, not just on Halloween, but this event does add another level of fun and excitement for the property.”

First place wins $2,000 in cash and $3,000 in Red Hot Credits, followed by second place who will win $1,000 in cash and $1,000 in Red Hot Credits.
