The Kellogg Community College running club, KCC Road Runners, will be participating in a 5K Color Run next month and are seeking more individuals to participate.
The run will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at 145 E. Water St., Kalamazoo.
The KCC Road Runners club has been revamped over the year by club president Melina Tindol, who said the club is open to any and all KCC students of every athletic capability.
“It truly is open to everyone,” Tindol said. “Our main goal is to get the KCC students and community more involved in healthy lifestyle practices in a safe and fun environment, and to motivate each other in the process.”
The club plans to meet together before the event, run at individual paces and regroup at the finish of the race for a group photo.
“This is a great opportunity for students to get involved in a club on campus, make new friends and better themselves at the same time,” Tindol said.
