Kellogg Community College is giving back to the community with a Bruins Give Back event from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, March 15, at Silver Star Apartments, a housing facility for homeless veterans in Battle Creek.

Bruins Gives Back is a campus-wide community service event hosted by the college’s Integrative Learning Department. The event brings KCC students and employees together in service through volunteering at various locations in and around Battle Creek.

Students and employees at past events have helped out at local elementary schools, community gardens and at various locations on campus at KCC. The first Bruins Give Back of the Spring 2019 semester was held Feb. 15.

According to a news release from KCC, more than 50 students and employees together served more than 150 hours through the three Bruins Gives Back events held last fall. Another Bruins Gives Back event is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 26, in the community garden on KCC’s North Avenue campus.

All KCC students and employees are welcomed to join in and help give back to the community and can sign up online at https://goo.gl/forms/R7ZBNh9pC70lKDLw1.
