Binder Park Zoo is holding its annual ZooBoo this year Oct. 18 through 21 and 25 through 28.

This event runs from 1 to 8 p.m. each day. Admission is $12 for members and $14 for non-members. The event will be held outside rain or shine at the zoo, located at 7400 Division Drive in Battle Creek, and is open to all ages.

The display theme this year is storybook, which could include characters like the Cat in the Hat, Cinderella, etc.

Rides and trick-or-treating are free of charge each night with admission. There will be a trick-or-treat trail with bigger candies this year, and guests will be provided with five tickets for carnival and lawn games.

There will also be a pumpkin carving station as well as animals on display for guests to see and hold. Science Spooktacular Stations will be set up, where guests can learn about animals and how they interact with other animals in their exhibit.

The carousel and hayrides will be free of charge both weekends, as will the train if it is up and running.

This year the event will also have entertainment: Carmen Zvara, comedy magician and entertainer. There will also be a photographer walking around to capture the families and friends enjoying their time, with pictures are available for $5.

Binder Park Zoo is very excited for this year’s ZooBoo and expects the highest attendance yet.
