America’s largest and longest-running dance competition is back in Battle Creek for its annual show at Kellogg Arena this weekend.

Started in 1978, the competition includes performers of all ages and hosts more than 100,000 talented dancers annually from almost all 50 states, Canada, Mexico and France.

Nikki Cole, Showstopper’s director of marketing and media relations, said that their competitions aren’t just competitions, they’re an experience that can’t be found anywhere else.

“Our events are packed with live entertainment, amazing vendors and today’s best dance instructors,” Cole said. “We make dancers and teachers feel like the stars they are, with industry expert judges, custom performance LED background screens and professional dance floors and stages. Additionally, there’s no cost to observe the competition.”

Kellogg Arena doors open for Showstopper performances at 3 p.m. Friday, March 15, with shows from 4 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 a.m. Saturday, March 16, and Sunday, March 17, with shows running until approximately 9 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.
